Job description
The Corporate Controlling Accountant position is responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Participates in spare parts controlling functions such as monthly valuations, data verification, error detection and resolution, and standard cost updates for exchange rate and surcharges.
- Analyze Spare Parts Activity, including, margins, price variances and surplus stock.
- Participates in spare parts yearly physical inventory counts for all spare parts warehouses, and monitor follow-up tasks.
- Participates in the preparation of d service 5-year budgets.
- Participates in internal audits of LUS processes and policies and participates in the preparation of the audit reports.
- Participates in the preparation and analysis of various financial statements and reports including cross divisional topics, corporate KPI’s and d Service performance.
- Participates in the Goods-in-Transit Analysis.
- Participates in the maintenance of Baan Integration settings, and Integration log reconciliation.
- Participates in the maintenance of Baan cost Allocations.
- Participates in preparation of internal and external audit materials.
- Assists the Corporate Controlling Manager with special projects.
Competencies
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, employees, and auditors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret documents such as financial statements.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to accurately calculate figures & amounts such as discounts, fractions, percentages, ratios, interest.
- Travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license.
