Job Summary

Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the payroll team for the successful bi-weekly processing of multiple multi-state companies, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Manages relationship and processes with 3rd party vendors. Ensures the transmission of all electronic funds transfers relating to the distribution of net wages and payroll deductions. Responsible for periodic audit, testing, and implementation of all payroll system changes, enhancements and process improvements.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field required.
CPP certification preferred, FPC certification required.
Knowledge of federal and state payroll, wage and hour laws required.
Five plus year’s full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing experience required.
Experience using Workday Payroll, ADP Smart Compliance, and Symplr/API Healthcare time tracking preferred.
Hours

Monday – Friday
Primarily days with possible evening/weekend involvement.
