General Purpose:

Responsible for assisting the Finance Director in planning, organizing, and directing all accounting and budgeting activities of the City. Supports the Finance Director in maintaining accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant accounting and financial reporting. Assist with cash planning, investment, and debt processes and decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

(A) Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, public finance or closely related field combined with three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in fund accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

(B) Experience in governmental accounting and/or CPA designation is desired.

(C) Experience in BS&A software is preferred.
