Overview

We are seeking a highly-motivated intern to join our Architecture Discipline for Summer 2024 in our Grand Rapids, MI office.

Colliers Engineering & Design, an affiliate of Colliers, is a trusted provider of multi-discipline engineering, design and consulting services to public and private sector clients. Responsibilities

• Our interns will assist technical staff on day-to-day projects.
• Read and review project drawings and plans.
• Confer with our designers about preparing plans.
• Use Revit software under the charge of Engineers.
• Support project renderings and graphic communications.
• Observe project sites and evaluate contractors’ work to detect problems with a design.
• Prepare reports and document project activities and data.
• Prepare analyses from collected data.
• Set up and help maintain project files and records.
• In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related program.
• Basic understanding of Revit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess solid problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.
• Be familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and proficient with one of the three.
• Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
