Job description

Responsibilities

St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute offers a clinical practicum in mental health. All practicum are nine-month training experiences. The approximate start date is September 16th and the approximate end date is May 30th, subject to some variation based on the student’s academic schedule.  Practicum experiences are typically 9-10 hours per week. We do not offer a three-month or one-semester practicum. 

Practicum in Eating Disorders Program: The Eating Disorders Program at SLBMI is a specialized eating disorder treatment program that utilizes evidence-based therapies. It offers state-of-the-art, comprehensive treatment including medication, cognitive and behavioral therapies, and other adjunctive interventions. Training within both Adolescent and Adult IOPs are offered. The Eating Disorders program is led by Mishell Hashmi, Psy.D. Practicum students work in program's Intensive Outpatient Program and are typically supervised by a postdoc / post Master's staff member, who is supervised by a licensed provider.

Practicum student application deadline is February 23, 2024, with a notification date of March 22, 2024.
