Job description
The Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) - Jet position at Recruitnrefer is a critical role in our aviation maintenance team. As an A&P Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on jet aircraft, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on jet aircraft, including airframes, powerplants, and related systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in jet aircraft, and provide efficient and effective solutions.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including engine oil changes, tire replacements, and component inspections.
- Conduct unscheduled maintenance tasks, such as troubleshooting and repairing avionics systems, hydraulic systems, and landing gear.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed in compliance with applicable regulations, manufacturer's specifications, and company policies and procedures.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly, including work performed, parts used, and inspections conducted.
- Adhere to safety procedures and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to jet aircraft maintenance.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certificate.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an A&P Mechanic on jet aircraft.
- Extensive knowledge of jet aircraft systems, including airframes, powerplants, avionics, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on jet aircraft, following manufacturer's guidelines and approved maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and ability to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to document maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with others to achieve maintenance goals and ensure aircraft airworthiness.
- Strong commitment to safety, following all safety procedures and practices at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Experience with specific jet aircraft models, such as Gulfstream, Falcon, or Learjet, is a plus.
