Job description
Job Duties
- Shift: Days 8 hours 40 hours per week Monday Friday
- Work location: Remote
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs detailed analysis of financial and revenue cycle performance to identify trends patterns and root causes.
- Completes regular root cause analysis of relevant financial transactions for assigned departments.
- Monitors key performance indicators for assigned areas and explores reasons for performance fluctuation and deterioration.
- Prepares summary findings of analysis for department leadership review. Examines historical and projected financial data to provide stakeholders with valuable information upon which to make operational decisions.
- Utilizes a strong understanding of revenue cycle applications operational workflows and regulatory policies to assist in analytic evaluations.
- Cultivates internal relationships to assist in understanding department workflows. Engages regularly with revenue cycle managers and directors on improvement opportunities identified through data analysis.
- Analyzes prepares and coordinates distribution of various financial reports for internal Revenue Cycle use and as required for external constituents.
- Maintains various financial databases and records for the reporting of financial data.
- Develops and manipulates large data sets.
- Provides analytics for and supports special projects as needed
Requirements
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business Finance Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required
Licenses and Certifications
- HFMA Certified Rev Cycle Rep (CRCR) preferred
Experience
- Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
- Prior experience in revenue management patient financial services and/or health information systems preferred
- 12 years of statistical analysis experience.
- 12 years Hospital Billing experience
