Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the 169-day Teacher Salary Schedule and based on education and experience. Starting salary range is $42,254 - $72,678.

QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor Degree or higher
- Valid Colorado Teaching License with Secondary Mathematics endorsement
- Strong knowledge of the 6-8 mathematics curriculum with the ability to instruct all levels
- Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public.
- Ability to effectively read, write, speak and listen to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
- Integrity, trust and work ethic to be able to work with little supervision.
- Competent understanding of technology to perform the job.
- Must pass pre-employment physical
- Ability to perform light lifting and moving of product (up to 50lbs)
- Implements appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of district data
- Maintains good security practices with passwords and accounts to the various district systems and applications.
- Reports actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity or availability of district data to appropriate district personnel.
- Follows all board policies for acceptable use of district technology.
- Model the District's Mission and Belief Statements.
- Other duties as assigned
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Teachers are held to high expectations for their performance to ensure success of the individual and the District in serving students and the community. Teachers are held to the District’s Licensed Personnel Performance Evaluation System that consists of the State’s Quality Standards, elements, and performance indicators which point to fulfillment of the teaching responsibility. A teacher’s demonstrated effectiveness is based on the following standards:
Quality Standard I : Teachers demonstrate mastery of and pedagogical expertise in the content they teach.
Quality Standard II : Teachers establish a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment for a diverse population of students.
Quality Standard III : Teachers plan and deliver effective instruction and create an environment that facilitates learning for their students
Quality Standard IV : Teachers demonstrate professionalism through ethical conduct, reflection, and leadership.
