THE ROLE... based in the Home Office
As a successful Payroll Manager, you’re punctual, organized and extremely detail-oriented and you’ll be instrumental in ensuring accuracy and completion of payroll records, statements, and reports for all our restaurants, hotels, and overall company operations.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and produce all payroll reports and processes for accounting
- Review and manage multi-state and multi-city payroll reports
- · Practice and show excellent knowledge of payroll regulations and practices
- Manage system updates, processes, and functionality of the payroll system
- Communicate effectively with restaurant and hotel leaders by providing payroll assistance and information as needed
- Facilitate all payroll and W2 inquiries as requested
- Handle employment wage verifications and confirmations as needed
- Manage entries and audits for DSS inquiry forms and wage garnishments per employee
- Complete tax levy forms as needed
- Conduct weekly tip audits with Aloha, Upserve, and Toast POS Systems
- Finalize and produce weekly manual checks needs as requested
- Assist with monthly Department of Labor wage reports and filing
- Assist with SUI paperwork reports and filing
- Respond to all inquiries within a 24-hour window
Requirements
Requirements for Success:
- 2+ years of experience in payroll management preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and Paylocity preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and contribute as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication to managers and team members
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, organization, and time management skills
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
