Your Opportunity
We are looking for a talented Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager and Client Account Manager that has an Operational Technology (OT) background, based out of our Pasadena, California office that wants to be part of a purpose-driven organization that is focused on helping our clients, colleagues and communities thrive. Your Key Responsibilities
DO: Project Delivery
Serve as Sr. Project Manager or Project Technical Lead for water OT infrastructure projects including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) new installation and replacement projects for pumping stations, conveyance, wastewater treatment and water treatment with responsibility for reviewing and sealing of projects.
Provide technical leadership for OT projects in the Pacific US region that includes California and Hawaii and occasionally for projects in other parts of the United States performing a variety of tasks to plan, execute and deliver the completed project.
Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on time delivery, technical quality, within budget.
Prepare technical evidenced proposals with equipment suppliers/vendors.
Execute multiple concurrent projects efficiently.
Work with more junior engineers to perform SCADA Master Plans, design process data integrations, write control system engineering reports, and select OT System design criteria.
Conduct alternative analyses to support business case evaluations for project decisions.
Effectively apply industry standards as well as client standards and requirements.
Work with project teams for projects, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, utility companies, and governmental agencies.
BUILD: Supervise and Mentor Young Professionals
Mentor developing professionals to guide their career development objectives.
Review team’s work and provide technical guidance on design approach and challenges.
Perform on technically complex projects and act as a technical resource by providing guidance to other team members.
Recognize when technical problems develop and initiate guidance for corrective actions.
Provide technical support to the Business Center Practice Leaders to further the growth of Stantec’s Pacific Water business.
Conduct work in a safe manner and promote health and safety within the office and outside of the office while visiting clients and job sites.
WIN: Support Business Development Activities
Assist the Business Center Practice Leaders and other Client Account Managers with developing new work in the Pacific specifically related to OT projects. Lead and assist with proposals and with preparing the technical aspects for project interviews conducted by clients.
Develop positive relationships with clients in the Pacific area, earn their confidence and become their trusted advisor.
Participate in local and national professional associations. Actively participate by seeking leadership roles in the organization and presenting at conferences.
Qualifications

Leadership:

Technical Expertise:
Experienced in the design of OT systems specifically for water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants.
Experienced in the design of OT Systems for pumping stations, wastewater lift stations and potable water pumping stations.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical or Control Systems Engineering from an accredited institution.
Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical or Control Systems Engineering from an accredited institution preferred.
Licensed Professional Engineer, preferably licensed in California.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in water OT related infrastructure design projects.
Must have good driving record and valid driver's license.
Typical office environment working with computers and sitting at a desk. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s):
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
