Job Description:

HarborOne will provide a dynamic and comprehensive learning and development opportunity for the selected intern. The intern selected will be reporting to the Internship Manager and the intern will work directly with a Marketing peer/mentor to support their growth and development in their internship role. The 10-week internship will include working several district projects related to community reinvestment. These projects will support and provide opportunities for understanding all aspect of the community reinvestment act regulation and HarborOne Bank’s commitment to help build vibrant and equitable communities.

Our Marketing Team focuses on supporting and building the HarborOne brand, acquiring and building profitable customer relationships, and the design and delivery of unique customer experiences to build customer engagement. The team develops and implements community relations initiatives and provides personal and professional educational and development opportunities through HarborOne U.

In addition to project work, the intern will have the opportunity for interactive discussions with Marketing team members and key business partners on:

• Understanding effective communications through social and traditional channels.
• Using research and data analytics to drive programming.
• Giving Back: Building successful community engagement programs.
• Learning the key elements of successful marketing promotion.
• How to deliver educational programs at HarborOne U.
• Fundamentals of grant making and evaluation related to the HarborOne Foundation.

Responsibilities:

• Work on key CRA programs that support strategic initiatives throughout the organization (Caring Crew, Donations, CD Lending)
• Engage with Marketing business partners to gain and understanding of media planning, advertising, public relations, data analytics, etc.
• Participate in weekly meetings with other interns to share experiences and explore career opportunities.

Required Skills:

• Current sophomore in college rising to a junior or a junior rising to a senior.
• The preferred course of study is Marketing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Interest in non-profit management and community engagement.
• Strong interpersonal skills in any classroom or workplace setting.
• Excellent written and communications skills, highly motivated, and enjoys working in a team environment.
• Willing to contribute ideas to positively impact project work.
• Strong ability to solve problems and analyze data, work independently and show initiative, be collaborative with peers and colleagues across all business lines and demonstrate the bank’s core values of Trust, Respect, Accountability, Integrity and Teamwork.
