Job description
The 3D Vision team at Apple Maps is looking for best-in-class talent to join our team of computer vision and machine learning experts. With us, you will be working on ground breaking technology as well as researching and developing new algorithms for processing and making sense of vast volumes of sensor data! As part of this team you would be working on extremely large data sets of different modalities, collected by various moving platforms - aerial/satellite/ground. You need to have a strong interest in solving real world problems where developing and implementing algorithms are meaningful parts. You would join a team of fast moving and pragmatic problem solvers that are solving some of the toughest problems in the industry.
Key Qualifications
- Proven fundamentals in 3D Computer Vision, especially in the areas of 3D reconstruction, slam (camera/lidar), visual localization and sensor fusion.
- Solid C/C++ and system building skills.
- Experience with modern machine learning technologies is a plus.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks and infrastructure is a plus.
- Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner.
Description
The ideal candidate should be an excellent programmer and also excel in one or more of the following areas: Multi-view geometry, 3D reconstruction and texturing, Visual-Inertial Odometry, SLAM, Visual Localization, Sensor Fusion, Bundle Adjustment. Meriting experience include: computational geometry, computer graphics, image processing, applied mathematics.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
