* $81K-$90K p.a + Rā Oranga wellness days + Long Service leave * Up to $3000 relocation assistance available* * Hybrid and flexible working options with interesting work Join a team of fun and likeminded individuals tasked at providing day-to-day operational services and oversight for Nelson’s utilities infrastructure (water, wastewater, stormwater & flood protection) About this role b| Kō tēnei tūranga mahi We are seeking a motivated telemetry and data management specialist to join our dynamic Utilities team. In this role, your main responsibility will be to ensure that Nelson City’s telemetry and utilities data management systems are well maintained to ensure best practice application and reliability of data. You will manage and monitor the contractors operating our SCADA and Telemetry equipment, and will be involved in a variety of Capital and Operational projects and provide advice on telemetry requirements. You will also utilize and maintain Councils asset management system, Infor, and assist with improving Councils data management. About you | Ko ngā pūmanawa ōu We are looking for Utilities Engineering Officer experienced in Telemetry, or who has transferable experience from an IT, structural, technical, civil or electrical engineering background. Your knowledge and experience working in engineering industries, will complement your ability to: * Oversee the operation and maintenance of Council asset management systems * Manage and administer our utilities maintenance contracts * Manage, design and review a variety of capital and operational projects * Provide technical experience to the utilities team, wider council and activity managers in developing business cases. * Manage and monitor various databases, systems and telemetry equipment T here is scope of offer training opportunities to those with transferrable experience.
