Job description
Your Role:
Provide exceptional customer service representing Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) to the public. Monitor inboxes, phone lines, and voicemails, and respond courteously to inquiries and requests. Provide administrative support for the monthly giving program. Arrange and edit volunteer reservations and schedules.
Pay, Schedule, & Benefits:
- This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) position. Regularly scheduled for 20 hours per week during weekday afternoon shifts. Schedule finalized upon hire.

What You’ll Do:
- Monitor multiple email accounts and answer calls on a multi-line phone system. Convey informed, knowledgeable responses to calls, voicemails, and emails. Answer questions, assist volunteers with the online registration process, and transfer remaining correspondence to appropriate staff.
- Provide administrative support for the monthly giving program. Assist donors in making donations and updating their information over the phone. Answer questions and generate receipts. Contact donors about failed transactions and expiring cards. Handwrite and mail tribute cards for designated donations upon request.
- Act as a power user within the Volunteer Registration System. Reset passwords, handle exceptions, edit volunteer group profiles, and edit shifts. Generate volunteer group reports for internal staff use. Maintain expert knowledge of system functions. Escalate technical issues to IT.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure donor privacy. Uphold credit card number destruction process, update contact preferences and bank account information, and remove constituents from mailing and email lists. Enter updates in donor database.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
- Commitment to support, promote, and authentically communicate FMSC’s Christian mission and goals.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, and 2 years of customer service experience required.
- Proven customer service, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate with patience, courteousness, and appreciation with people of diverse ages, cultures, ability levels, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required. Database experience desired.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Self-directed with high level of energy, self-motivation, and independence with limited direct supervision. Seeks out additional work to maximize productivity, and is a supportive part of a team.
- Able to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, handle interruptions, give timely responses, and meet deadlines.
- Able to use discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Your Team:
- Work location is Chanhassen, MN, Coon Rapids, MN, Eagan, MN, Aurora, IL, Libertyville, IL, Schaumburg, IL, Mesa, AZ or Richardson, TX. Position will be primarily remote.
- Reports to Director of Fundraising Analytics.
