Job description

EVkids empowers underserved Boston youth with the skills and confidence needed to realize their potential. EVkids creates a community of support through 1-on-1, multi-year, academic mentoring relationships, professional family engagement and school advocacy, college success advising, and a summer camp at our 9-acre site in Vermont. POSITION

The Development Manager will work closely with the Director of Giving to raise $1M+ in funding annually through relationships with individuals, foundations, corporations, and government entities. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team member and self-starter with experience in a broad range of communications and development activities, a personal interest in the mission, and a commitment to building authentic relationships inside and outside the organization. Key responsibilities include overseeing EVkids' development communications plan, managing the donor database, administering gift processing and acknowledgment, and providing support for fundraising events. The Development Manager will play an important role in expanding donation opportunities, enhancing engagement with EVkids' diverse constituents, and establishing a robust local presence as a leader in youth education access, equity, and advocacy.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Boston. Some evening and weekend hours are required for occasional program and fundraising events, donor meetings, and event planning meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

COMPENSATION: $55,000 to $59,000, commensurate with experience; additional $2,400 travel, phone, and home office reimbursements annually; 5 weeks paid vacation, increasing with longevity; 20 paid holidays, including 4 floating; group health care and retirement plans with employer match available.
