Job Overview The Senior Manager of Commercial Field Training will play a critical role in the training and development of the Commercial Field Team at Sequel Med Tech to successfully launch the company’s product(s). This role will work closely and collaboratively with various internal cross functional teams to proactively identify training needs for the Commercial Field Team and support the development of all training assets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of therapeutic options for the management of diabetes and the ability to train, motivate, and inspire our Commercial Field team to excel.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties - Assist in the development and management of a new hire onboarding curriculum to ensure a smooth integration into Sequel Med Tech.
- Collaborate on the design and development of resources to support effective sales techniques, objection handling, and closing strategies specific to the diabetes market.
- Partner internally to create innovative and comprehensive training modules that foster a deep understanding of product knowledge and diabetes management for the Commercial Field Team.
- Utilize various learning modalities to facilitate learning sessions for newly hired and tenured Commercial Field Team personnel and define key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through metrics such as sales performance, product knowledge assessments and feedback from Commercial leadership.
- Conduct field visits to observe and evaluate the performance of the Commercial Field Team personnel and provide constructive feedback to reinforce learning and development.
- Collect feedback from the Commercial Field Team and Leadership to continuously improve the learning experience to maximize effectiveness.
- Establish ongoing and targeted learning initiatives to reinforce learning and development opportunities and promote career advancement for the Commercial Field Team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Sequel’s product(s) and the competitive landscape, ensuring the ability to effectively train the Commercial Field Team personnel on product features and benefits.
- Ensure that all commercial team training materials and programs are compliant with industry regulations and company policies and that the Commercial Field Team is well versed in compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Job responsibilities are not limited to the work listed above and may include other assignments as necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Life Sciences, Business) is preferred.
- Previous experience within a Training, Sales, or Marketing function of a medical device organization.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of commercial diabetes products, including but not limited to insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring with proven ability to develop and deliver effective sales training programs.
- Innovative, creative, and detail oriented with strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication (oral and written), presentation, facilitation, and administrative management skills.
- Ability to organize and lead meetings with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate issues and ideas with peers and with leadership.
- Willingness to travel for field training and sales meetings. Up to 50% nationwide travel required.
- Must hold a valid US Driver’s license.
- Highly motivated and self-driven with a passion for improving patient outcomes in diabetes care.
- Must be willing and able to work diligently in a high-visibility, fast paced environment with changing timelines and priorities.
