Summary: The Accountability and Assessment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of local, state, and national assessments to ensure compliance with state expectation and to support ongoing data-based decision making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The frequency and percentage of time of duties may vary based on building or department assignment.

Serve as the District Assessment Coordinator (DAC), to include the development of School Assessment Coordinators' (SACs) assessment implementation. Coordinate compliance with state accountability and accreditation requirements. Provide student achievement reports and analysis for a variety of stakeholders including teachers, building administrators, central office administrators, the district leadership team, the Board of Education, families, and the community. Support ongoing data-based decision making within the multi-tiered system of support framework (MTSS). Manage access to and implementation of local, state, and national assessment platforms. Coordinate compliance and process management with state expectations for the district and school UIPs. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: BA in Education or related field

EXPERIENCE: Previous school leadership experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: Colorado Type D Certificate/Principal/Administrator's License preferred. Ability to transport self to all locations within Durango School District and La Plata County.

TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:
Excellent interpersonal relations and oral and written communication skills. Advanced skill in leading a staff with diverse needs at various levels of understanding. Adaptive and technical leadership capacity. Knowledge of school law and compliance regulations. Knowledge of data analysis, curriculum, assessment and instruction, and master agreement/labor regulations. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities with frequent interruptions. Ability to promote and follow Board and District policies, Superintendent policies and building/department procedures. Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively in a team setting. Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:
Microcomputers and general office equipment. Microsoft Office applications. Student Information Systems.
