Job Title:  Manufacturing Engineer

Location:   Des Plaines, IL on-site

Salary: $75k - $90k DOE

Requirements: (BS) in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial or Plastics, 3yrs experience in plasticsWe are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have knowledge of injection molding, manufacturing processes, engineering, and plastics. They will be responsible for improving production processes, ensuring quality standards are met, troubleshooting issues with current processes, and designing optimal manufacturing processes.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be a key contributor to all aspects of the manufacturing process, from product design to implementation. They will be responsible for anticipating potential issues in production and recommending modifications of existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and maintain quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve production processes
• Create and test prototypes
• Ensure quality standards are met
• Identify and troubleshoot problems with current manufacturing processes
• Design optimal manufacturing processes
• Recommend modifications to existing processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost
• Participate in team meetings to make process improvement recommendations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in injection molding and manufacturing processes
• Experience with plastics engineering, CAD, and MS Word
• Experience with Manufacturing Engineer role, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing
• Experience with Quality of Service (QoS) metrics
• Excellent problem-solving skills
