Job description

We are currently seeking the right candidate for a telephone triage nurse position in our busy OB/GYN practice. We are a well established practice with 3 locations is the Hampton Roads area with 9 physicians, 3 physician assistants, 1 nurse practitioner and 2 certified nurse mid-wives as well as a full-time marriage and family therapist.

• Monday- Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
• Telephone triage.
• Reporting results to patients.
• Refilling prescriptions.
• Prior authorizations.
• Scheduling same day appointments.
• Other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Valid LPN/ RN license.
• Athena EMR experience preferred.
• Must have experience in an office setting, OB/GYN is a must.
• Must be able to work independently and in a group setting.
• Efficiency and attention to detail are a must.
• Solid critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Prioritize tasks appropriately and efficiently.
• Problem-solving skills, adaptability and flexibility.

Busy OB/GYN practice with 3 locations in the Norfolk, Downtown Norfolk and Chesapeake area. We have 10 physicians, 2 Physician Assistants and 2 Certified Nurse Midwives.
