Job description

Baroody Camps, Inc. provides enrichment programs to school children in various counties throughout the Virginia/Maryland area. We are looking for individuals who are interested in making a positive impact in children's lives through teaching various Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs. STEM activities include: robotics, coding, gaming (Minecraft), science and more!

Compensation: $25-$40/hour based on experience

Projected Hours : 3-5 Hours Per Week (if able to teach multiple subjects, the ability to increase hours extends!)

• Falls Church, VA
• Arlington, VA
• Centreville, VA
• Alexandria, VA
• Fairfax, VA
• Springfield, VA

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare for class each day
• Teach provided curriculum to a group of 8-15 children in a structured environment (about 1.5-2 hours per day)
• Computer, robotics kits or science equipment management
• Manage the children in an appropriate and safe manner
• Ensure students are safely dismissed following class
• Communicate effectively with children, parents and Baroody Camps staff
• Implement COVID-19 policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have proficient computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of classroom management and customer service skills
• Works well under pressure
• Must be available to teach at least 2-3 times per week
• Vehicle transportation required
