Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Outpatient Manager- Behavioral Health Services provides clinical and administrative oversight, along with supervision to the counseling team working within the Outpatient Clinic, Intensive Outpatient Program, and Psychiatric Day Treatment Program based at the UM-Upper Chesapeake Behavioral Health Pavilion at Aberdeen. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team in the development and ongoing management of all processes, procedures, and policies as it pertains to programmatic and clinical care.
Qualifications
Masters Degree in Counseling or Social Work is required. Must have license to independently practice clinical services in the state of Maryland (LCPC or LCSW-C) is required.
Minimum five (5) years' experience in a mental health treatment setting (clinical and/or operational experience) is required. Must have previous supervisory experience and proven program development experience is preferred. Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of Federal and State regulations as it pertains to provision of psychiatric services. Utilization review/case management experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to complete diagnostic assessments, consultations, psychotherapy (individual and group), treatment and discharge planning in accordance with state and federal regulations within established timeframes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both internal and external customers, ability to respond appropriately to a changing/or crisis environment, critical thinking and problem resolution skills, and the ability to interpret and analyze program data in the establishment of program projections, quality measures and performance improvement. Demonstrated ability to mentor and manage team members including interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplinary duties.
