BTWN Exhibits, a complete trade show and exhibit production company is located in Atlanta and handles trade shows in the US. We are seeking an experienced Tradeshow Exhibit CAD Detailer to join our team. The Exhibit CAD Detailer will play a critical role in bringing a concept design to life .
The Exhibit CAD Detailer will work with our 3D Design team, Fabrication Team, Project Managers, and Production Specialist in a fast-paced environment with definite deadlines. Drawings must entail the necessary dimensions and must be legible. Candidates are required to communicate proactively with the teams. Candidates must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and capable of working under pressure. Candidates must have problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work with 3D Exhibit Designers to ensure that the 3D designs are practical and realistic.
- Create production drawings for custom fabrication, procurement, and tradeshow install/dismantle applications.
- Drawings must include dimensions, recommended build materials, close-up detailed views, and exploded isometric assemblies with installation instructions when necessary.
- Specify material, hardware, electrical/lighting specifications, and building techniques per client requirements and company standards.
- Create layout drawings for electrical, hanging signs, truss, etc required by general contractors.
- Layout fabrication components/parts in AutoCAD so they can be run through CNC.
- Provide accurate information for procurement and sales teams.
- Collaborate with Design Team, Project Managers, and Production Team daily to complete tasks on time.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of Exhibit Industry experience
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Able to assertively present creative and functional ideas for projects.
- Innovative, creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design and create detailed drawings with the fabrication process in mind.
- Ability to effectively explain and present finished work to the teams
- Experience with a CNC machine.
- Ability to create drawings based on limited information
- Ability to provide workable solutions to highly imaginative, sometimes gravity-defying designs
- Knowledge of a variety of finish materials such as metals, plastics, fabrics, woods, fabrics, PVC, and laminates
- Ability to value engineer
- Ability to perform self-directed product research
- Ability to propose fabrication or construction methods while meeting design intent and budget/time restrictions.
