Job description
Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking Associate Biologist for a n onsite role based in Manassas, VA . Prior experience with Bacterial cell culture and aseptic technique is preferred.
We're looking for an entry-level Associate Biologist to perform Quality Control testing on biological materials and standards . You'll work under guidance to support production of biological cultures and derivative products , as well as contribute to data collection and recording .
- Manufacturing Operations: Manufacturing or quality control (QC) testing of biological products by following standard operating procedures (SOP s ) , work instructions , and other controlled documents. M aintain laboratory safety, operations, equipment, and supplies.
- Documentation: Maintain production batch records in compliance with good laboratory practices. Collect, analyze, and report data, ensuring meticulous documentation.
- Continuous Learning and Problem-Solving: Master a septic technique , gain experience with various cell lines and organisms , and tackle routine challenges in alignment with organizational policies.
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Hands on laboratory experience and aseptic technique preferred
- Attention to detail
- Ability to adhere to corporate policies and procedures
- Prior exposure to microbiology preferred ( bacteriology, mycology, protistology).
