POSITION SUMMARY:
This position can be located in either Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming, with the opportunity to work remote, in-office, or hybrid.
You will obtain and gather needed claims information including police reports, estimates and other forms of media to report claims to insurance companies. Follow up with insureds, claimants, and insurance companies on existing claims. Assist customers with any questions, problems or issues on existing claims and report losses to third party carriers on behalf of clients. Interpret, analyze and administer insurance policy coverage and forms.
You will work directly with company and independent adjusters to ensure claims are processed quickly and correctly. Perform clerical duties including documenting conversations, posting payments, and completing claims in the agency management system. Administer and collect information on claims associated with jewelers and furniture stores. Research and advise staff of claim denials. As a Senior Claims Representative, you will also be expected to participate in training of other claims team members, conduct work product audits, work with Claims Manager to develop department practices and procedures, conduct in-depth coverage review and work independently on complex claims situations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Conduct work product audits
Assist Claims Manager in developing departmental practices and procedures
Actively lead claims team in training and other educational meetings for department (with Claims Manager)
Be able to troubleshoot and work independently to make decisions on claims issues
Communicate complex claims and escalated situations to Claims Manager
Enter and keep current Large Loss Spreadsheet (LLSS)
Work directly with company and independent adjusters to ensure claims are processed quickly and correctly
Responsible for Critical Path clients (working on independently or successfully delegating)
Ability to lead on coverage disputes when appointed by manager
Assist Director of Quality Control on potential and accepted E&Os
Mentor junior team members and ensure their training is comprehensive
Ability to handle more complex claims, litigations, million dollar + losses
Good written and verbal communication
Ability to interact & communicate positively with co-workers
Any other duties as appropriate and assigned by Claims Manager
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MUST hold current Property and Casualty License in resident state; includes maintaining by meeting all continuation education and other requirements
MUST hold current Claims adjuster license in states handling; includes maintaining by meeting all CE and other requirements
Must be working towards AIC designation
WORK AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
7+ years' office experience
7+ years insurance experience similar to essential job functions
High school diploma or equivalency; some college preferred
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
CISR Designation or similar insurance designation
Participate in training of new hires or less experienced teammates
