MediLodge is looking for a Regional Director of Clinical Reimbursement Registered Nurse (RN) for a critical support position for 5-7 Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation centers in our Michigan Central region. This position is responsible for motivating, inspiring, leading and teaching new employees and guiding tenured nurses on the resident assessment instrument (RAI) process.

To provide support to the facility MDS Coordinators in the assigned region Qualifications: Education: - Must have nursing degree (or diploma) from accredited college - RN necessary
Licenses/Certification: - Nursing License for the state(s) within the Region
Experience: - Must have 1+ year working with RAI process and PPS
Essential Functions: Provide support in MDS to include: - Software questions and trouble shooting
- MDS scheduling
- MDS and diagnosis Coding
- CAA and Care Plan Questions
- RUG and reimbursement related items
- Medicare and Insurance related items
- ADR and Medical chart reviews
- On site MDS support and coverage for RNAC absences
- MDS training for the facilities
- Provide necessary MDS, RUG, and Medicare audits
- Ensure MDS completions and validate submissions
- Participate in Medicare certification and recertification process
- Ensure adherence to PPS schedule and assessment tyoe
- Ensure continuing education for the facilities
- Follow-up on any necessary corrective actions
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Proficient in Word, Excel and email
- Have good computer software skills
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively
- Ability to provide education to professional and non-professional staff
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines governing nursing functions in long-term care
