DESCRIPTION

The Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) Investigation Specialist, will provide investigative support, analysis and resolutions services pertaining to the protection of people, product, assets and data for Amazon. This individual will be responsible for actionable recommendations derived from data analytics that impacts Supply Chain programs and investigations, while driving profitability through loss prevention and shrink improvement. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for pursuing all R2L investigative matters pertaining to the loss of merchandise and company assets, including but not limited to product, company assets, and other financial impacts to the business. The R2L Investigations Specialist is a key member of the Loss Prevention organization, working with Logistics Loss Prevention teams, as well as cross functional teams throughout the organization. This role will routinely interact with Field Loss Prevention Team, LP PASS, Legal, Operations, Fraud Abuse Control Teams (FACT), Global Intelligence Program, and other key stakeholders. This role directly supports the R2L Sr. Program Manager in their responsibilities of investigating internal and external theft and fraud. This role is based in Goodyear, Arizona and will report in to the Sr. Program Manager R2L Investigations, Strategic Investigative Solutions, Loss Prevention, Global Security Operations.

Key job responsibilities
• Initiates, develops and resolves product loss and fraud investigations within Rapid and Rural Logistics
• Identifies unusual activity by leveraging information from internal reporting, data analytics, field reported incidents, OSINT investigative reviews, Law Enforcement, and R2L On Road and Under the Roof theft trends.
• Develops casework through analytics, report review and proven investigative tactics.
• Develops and maintains positive field-based relationships and local, state and federal law enforcement
• Proactively builds and fosters relationships with internal and external business stakeholders
• Develop, enhance, and track reporting on metrics and key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved in a timely manner
• Identify potential loss/risk opportunities through trend analysis and the utilization of data analytic resources
• Leverage fraud strategies to mitigate fraud/loss while minimizing customer and operational impact.
• Support and lead investigations of internal and external theft and misappropriation of company assets
• Manage expectations; prioritizing workload and providing regular communication to stakeholders
• Provides visibility and updates to direct supervisor regarding project timelines and deliverables

We accomplish this by creating policy and implementation guidelines; training leadership and staff; using technology to eliminate subjectivity, complexity, and variation; identifying, preparing for, and mitigating risk; and auditing our practices to ensure compliance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School or equivalent diploma
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, transportation, criminal/military intelligence, cyber fraud, asset protection, law enforcement, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance or other related fields
• 2+ years of investigative experience identifying, resolving, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending deterrent enhancements
• 2+ years of experience in transportation and supply chain crime detection and industry partnership
• Familiarity with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices, access control systems, GPS and CCTV
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Professional Suite, including knowledge of excel
• Ability to commute an/or travel to site locations as required
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
