Position Summary
Duncan Financial Group is seeking an Enrolled Agent/Accountant to play an integral role in clients in our Tax and Accounting division.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Prepare year-end tax returns for Individuals, Corporations & Partnerships.
- Analyze client prepared data and make necessary adjustments required for financial statement and tax return preparation.
- Prepare year end documents and financial statements for business clients.
- Perform tax research on various issues as they arise.
- Respond to correspondence with the IRS and various state and local taxing agencies.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients to ensure expectations and deadlines are being met.
- Preparation of quarterly payroll tax returns and year-end W-2's and 1099's.
- Processing client information, checks, payroll and deposits into QuickBooks and reconciling accounts.
Qualifications
- CPA, CPA candidate, or IRS Enrolled Agent (EA)
- 3+ years’ professional accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax law
- Strong written and verbal communcication skills
- Strong decision making skills, ability to work independently, and ability to meet time constraints and deadlines
- Experience with LaCerte Tax Software and Quickbooks
- Experience with TaxDome a plus
