POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst acts as a key member of the finance organization and as a critical business partner with the Global Sales Organization. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and reports related to the actual & forecasted revenues of the company and the spending activities of the Global Sales organization. The ideal candidate will be self-driven with the ability to partner across different functions in the Company to drive process improvements in critical areas. This role will contribute to the Company reaching its internal goals and external commitments through high impact financial analysis, reporting and insight.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, maintains, and provides insightful financial information to support the senior leadership team and their understanding of revenue performance and forecasts
- Assists the Director of Finance and the Sales Operation team in the preparation of the quarterly revenue forecast. Assists in the preparation of the weekly revenue outlook provided to the senior leadership team. Also participates in the project to improve the Company's S&OP process
- Participates actively in the development of tools and processes to support the Company's revenue analytics program including upcoming phases of the Company's Crawl Chart and Revenue Data Warehouse
- Provides analytical support to the HR team to ensure quarterly commission accruals are accurate and in line with business results
- Engages with key leaders across the Global Sales organization to build out the distribution channel infrastructure
- Provides financial analysis to support monthly operational reviews including opex reporting and analytics
- Delivers key reports and supporting analytics for SEC disclosures and external audit requirements
- Contributes to the Global Sales annual operating plan including ownership of the opex process
- Contributes to the Company's efforts to migrate to a new ERP platform with a specific focus on customer information and other workstreams associated with Revenue
- Develops successful working relationships with other AE departments, including but not limited to Business Unit Finance, Sales Operations, Human Resource, and IT
- Conducts special projects which provide creative and insightful interpretation of business issues from a quantitative standpoint
QUALIFICATIONS: - Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills including ability to tailor financial information for various levels of the organization
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Strong work ethic, self-starter with bias to action and ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Advanced Microsoft application skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt, communicate and connect with teams in a global diverse environment
- Prior experience with an integrated ERP system, including Financial Planning and Consolidation (SAP preferred)
EXPERIENCE: Essential: - 4-7 years of financial analyst experience
Desirable: - Previous financial analyst experience in support of a global sales function
- Experience in a large ERP system environment (SAP, Oracle, Blackline, Microsoft Power BI)
- Experience working for a multi-national company
- Experience providing financial support from both a commercial and functional standpoint
- Microsoft Power BI experience
EDUCATION: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar
- MBA, CPA or CMA designation a plus
COMPENSATION: As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $85,000 to $115,000 per year.
