Oliver Inc. is looking for a strategic Plant Manager to join our team in Virginia. This is a leadership role, reporting to the Vice President & GM, designed to build and lead different departments within our manufacturing plant that uses a variety of offset printing capabilities to offer creative solution to our customers. The Plant Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of day-to-day manufacturing operations, working on the production floor to optimize productivity, promote growth, encourage innovation and drive continuous improvement and change.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop high-performance teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Cultivate collaborative environment, lead by example, cascade expectations, create accountability, and support your team in achieving goals and meeting KPI's.
• Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and hold employees accountable.
• Manage the facilities operations to ensure compliance with all Governmental and Regulatory Agencies.
• Ensure food quality and safety standards are in place and the plant maintains compliance with established ISO guidelines, SQF Food Safety certification and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, as applicable.
• Enforce safety protocols, promote a culture of safety, and create a secure work environment.
• Drive continuous improvement by managing and monitoring several projects.

Qualifications

• A complete and comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations, techniques, and methods ideally in a printing or packaging operation or related industry.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of job-related experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of management experience in an organization of comparable size and scope
• Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and its application.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience applying Continuous improvement, operation excellence, Lean Six Sigma or Six Sigma tools; certifications are a plus.
• Ability to drive cultural change towards continuous improvement.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and excellent communication skills are a must.
