Summary

Portland General Electric’s (PGE) Telecommunications Engineering group is seeking a Senior or Principal Telecommunications Specialist or Engineer. PGE is an integrated, investor-owned electric utility with generation, transmission, and distribution operations. The Telecommunications Engineering group resides within PGE’s Engineering Services department and provides mission-critical telecommunications services to operations and corporate lines of business. PGE’s telecom infrastructure enables protective relaying, SCADA, metering, mobile voice communications, and corporate network connectivity.

This is a senior to principal level position within PGE’s Engineering Services department that requires the ability to work with various lines of business within PGE to provide technical direction and solutions that support business needs. Job functions include telecommunications design and design review, consultation, planning, project management, and administration, regulatory compliance, and second level operational support. Skills and experience in the following telecommunications area are sought: MPLS network routing protocols and configuration code development along with Nokia MPLS platform experience.

PGE supports hybrid flexible work arrangements; and will have a combination of in-the-office and working offsite. However, these arrangements may change due to business needs or changes in responsibility.

Compensation Range:

$92,550.00 - $183,000.00

In addition, this position is eligible for a performance-based incentive bonus. Actual total compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education
