Job Description and Duties

Join the Covered California Marketing team!

As the next Graphic Design Specialist, you will serve as a project manager and recognized technical resource for the creative and graphic design-related elements of the Marketing campaign. In this role, you will also assist with the overarching creative and message strategy for various advertising audience segments, production of key advertising elements, and management of production budgets, timelines, and creative assets.

Our ideal candidate is a skilled project manager with experience managing creative strategy (from concept through production), brand development, and implementation of high-profile, multi-channel advertising campaigns. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of primary research techniques to test and validate the effectiveness of advertising, as well as be proficient with the MacOS platform and the Adobe Creative Cloud software suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, and a recognized technical resource in the creative and graphic design-related field.

This position’s office headquarters location is designated in Sacramento County. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.

Working Conditions

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California’s current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
