Job description
Halifax Health is seeking an IT, Director for Clinical Applications.
The IT Director of Clinical Applications will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, implementation, and maintenance of clinical software applications within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT, a deep understanding of clinical workflows, and a proven track record of leading teams in high-stakes environments. This role requires a visionary leader who can collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care through technology.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Seven to ten years of progressive leadership experience in technology or clinical operations.
- Experience leading technical and clinical leadership.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment with many stakeholders and strong governance.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing large teams.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a knack for building and maintaining team morale.
- EHR implementation and support experience, specifically with Epic highly desired.
- Experience with clinical systems integration and large complex software systems
- Experience with BI platforms, analytics, and emerging healthcare software technologies
- Strong knowledge of medical device integration
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy for clinical applications, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Lead the clinical applications team, setting clear objectives, evaluating performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and external partners to ensure clinical applications are effectively supporting patient care and operational efficiency.
- Provide expert guidance and support for clinical applications, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring high levels of user satisfaction and performance.
