Summary Description
The Worship Leader position at Dyer United Methodist Church is a part-time role, approximately 15 hours per week, for an individual who possesses a deeply held Christian Faith and has a sincere relationship with Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to actively participate in the life and ministry of Dyer United Methodist Church. The Worship Leader will be responsible for leading worship with music and liturgy, coordinating songs, organizing and leading rehearsals, and collaborating with the senior pastor.

Qualifications:  

• Strong musical abilities, specifically in either guitar or piano/keyboard. 
• Ability to lead and work effectively with a team and work with volunteers.
• Demonstrated proficiency in either guitar or piano/keyboard is required.
• Organizational and coordination skills - Familiarity with ProPresenter and CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International). 
• Associate Degree preferred.

Responsibilities: One Service each Sunday (with some exceptions)

• Coordinate songs for worship services.
• Organize and lead rehearsals for the music team.
• Work with the praise team to lead worship with music and liturgy. Previous experience in leading worship with music and liturgy is preferred.
• Consult and collaborate with the senior pastor.
• Ensure a spirit of cooperation and harmony with all staff and volunteers. 
• Strive for a balance between worship, fellowship, and personal spiritual growth.
