Job description
The Systems Integrator is responsible for software verification and validation, including integration of software applications and subsystems into various software baselines and hardware platforms. The Systems Integrator coordinates integration and testing activities across multiple programs. Supports bug reporting, tracking, and defect resolution related to interoperability and system stability. The Systems Integrator develops strong working relationships with development, project management, and other product teams to achieve end-to-end product quality. Must have knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security-related technologies and auditing tools. Assesses system and software level requirement specifications, software design, interface design, test, and other development-related documentation as needed. Assists with implementation of the enhancements, including documentation, instruction, and hands-on-training of stakeholders and team personnel.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Contribute to the integration and testing phases of the development life cycle
- Supports formal testing and resolution of integration defects
- Provide technical support and consultation for integration and infrastructure questions
- Deployment and administration of enterprise GIS software, such as ArcGIS Enterprise and other Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Exposure to U.S Army baselines e.g., DCGS-A or Mission Command, or individual software applications deployed on mentioned baselines
- Experience in Computer System Architectures, Databases Management Systems, Operating Systems (Windows and Linux), and Automated Testing processes
- Have experience using Virtual Machines
- Testing and Load Performance Testing (JMeter)
- MIL-STD Documentation
- Agile Development Cycle and Sprints
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information
- Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Basic scripting abilities
- Strong understanding of DevOps and software/application integration processes
- Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, and other DevOps/Continuous Integration – Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems
- Typically works in highly complex areas where ingenuity and creativity are required to provide solutions to major design problems
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with a small team
- Foundation in system design and implementation
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with public clouds such as AWS, Azure, Google, Rackspace
- Experience with geospatial software products utilizing ESRI's suite of mapping products (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, etc.)
- Able to integrate and troubleshoot software applications and hardware platforms (as an individual with limited supervision)
- Capable of scripting in PowerShell, Python, and ArcGIS API and ArcPy
