Job description
A sports organization is seeking to hire a Tax Manager. This person will be responsible for handling 1099s and W2Gs. This company is looking for anyone with public accounting/public tax experience, or someone with experience filing taxes for high-net-worth individuals or partnerships. The ideal candidate has W2G or high net worth 1099 experience and has a background in public tax.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare client tax returns
- Assist clients in solving complex tax issues
- Perform tax research
- Review client tax information, meeting and corresponding with client as necessary
- Identify and resolve client tax concerns
- Make recommendations to clients regarding tax issues
- Maintain relationships with existing clients while attracting new business
- Supervise staff members assisting with tax return preparation
- Keep current on all accounting updates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License preferred
- Minimum two years relevant experience in public accounting
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Strong ability to multitask, stay organized, and take ownership of projects to see them through to completion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
