Facilities Maintenance Technician
Burnsville, MN | Contract to Hire | $25 - $30/hr
Konik is excited to collaborate with a well-established engineering firm in the south metro that is seeking to add a Facilities Maintenance Technician to their team. As a key member of the team, you will ensure that facilities are well maintained, demonstrating a proactive approach to preventive maintenance while promptly addressing emerging issues. With a keen eye for detail, this role executes basic and routine facility maintenance, construction, and repair tasks.
Facilities Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform basic and routine facility maintenance, construction, and repair tasks.
- Procure necessary materials, equipment, and resources for maintenance tasks.
- Allocate physical resources efficiently to optimize operational effectiveness.
- Facilitate cube moves, including cleaning and coordination with HR and IT.
- Maintain safety across facilities, including snow removal, clear walkways, and upkeep of outdoor lighting and entryways.
- Oversee disposal of surplus or unclaimed property.
- Monitor safety systems diligently, including CO2, fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting.
- Conduct regular inspections of all facilities.
- Maintain comprehensive records for all major systems.
- Supervise HVAC maintenance operations.
- Serve as backup technician as required.
Facilities Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years or relevant, hands-on experience in a related field
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical standards.
- Knowledge of generally accepted construction & repair procedures and practices.
- Our client is governed by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and staff must be eligible to attain Secret Clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
