Job description
Duties:
- Construct and assemble frames for buildings, structures, and other construction projects.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to specifications.
- Install stucco, drywall, plaster, siding, and roofing materials.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes to move materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of schematics and plans.
- Perform remodeling tasks, including demolition and reconstruction.
- Complete trim carpentry work, including installing baseboards, crown molding, and window casings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a framer or carpenter in the construction industry.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools commonly used in framing work.
- Knowledge of different types of building materials and their applications.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Note: Experience in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
