POSITION: Asphalt Plant Mixer Operator/Loader Operator
LOCATION: Orem - Morgan - Draper - Mona, UT (must be willing to travel to all locations listed; will primarily be located in Morgan)

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of your Forman/Supervisor primarily responsible to operate assigned heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to complete the task assigned.
DUTIES:
- Accurately load, monitor, and maintain asphalt plant feed bins with 9 different products.
- Load hot mix asphalt into trucks from storage bins.
- Monitor and maintain material stockpiles and asphalt dump site.
- Inspect, maintain, and operate a loader in a safe and proper way in order to avoid accidents or undue maintenance/repair work.
- Assists with plant maintenance and operation.
- Keep plant clean and orderly (manual labor required to clean under belts, etc.)
- Dispose of excess asphalt and reject materials
- Inspect, maintain, and operate a dump truck in a safe and proper way in order to avoid accidents or undue maintenance/repair work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of prior experience in operating a loader.
- Skid steer experience with the ability to operate in tight spaces
- Forklift experience or ability to get forklift certification.
- Ability to follow instructions and effectively communicate with others.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.
- Ability to perform manual labor and move/lift at least 75 pounds.
- Ability to work graveyard shifts as necessary (during double shifts with night paving)
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

- May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground.
- May frequently be required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for long periods of time
- Needs to communicate clearly with supervisors and co-workers - particularly regarding understanding and following instructions and safety requirements with precision.
- Must frequently be able to lift and/or carry 0 75 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. May occasionally lift items over their head.
- May frequently be required to climb up and down equipment via steps and/or short vertical ladders.
