General Summary

The Director of International Programs and Partnerships reports directly to the Vice President for Enrollment Management. The Director develops and implements strategies for increasing international enrollment while ensuring that all EMU students across the world have a positive learning experience. The Director leads the establishment and development of EMU's international programs in different academic disciplines and oversees recruitment, admissions, and student services for all international programs; works with partner institutions to ensure health enrollment and high quality of international programs; administers the budget, supervises the personnel and operations of international programs; travels as necessary to represent the university internationally. The Director collaborates with all units on and off campus to promote EMU's internationalization at local, national, and international levels.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge and skills in organization, administration, marketing, problem-solving, and planning, typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field, are necessary.

Five years of administrative experience in admissions or related fields is required.

Broad understanding of higher education internationalization

Intercultural competence

Experience in recruiting international students

Experience in developing business and academic partnerships

Experience in working with faculty and academic leadership

Foreign language fluency

Commitment to pluralism and the ability to support a diverse work environment
