**Position Title: Major Gifts Manager (Remote) - Los Angeles County or Santa Barbara, CA**

**Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage a major gifts portfolio within the assigned territory by cultivating relationships with volunteers, board members, corporate leaders, foundations, and current/prospective donors.
- Maintain a portfolio of 125-150 donors, implementing a moves management plan for each qualified donor.
- Collaborate with various teams to secure project information, including budgets and program content, to create proposals and execute solicitations.
- Provide monthly reports reflecting caseload activity and performance, aiming to secure $750,000 - $1,300,000+ in major gifts within the first year.
- Conduct a minimum of 220 face-to-face visits with major gift prospects and submit at least 24 proposals annually.
- Coordinate stewardship efforts for donors contributing $10k+, working closely with the stewardship advisor.
- Support nationwide solicitation efforts for corporate and foundation prospects.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure regional goals are met effectively.

**Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree with a proven track record of securing $100,000+ gifts or equivalent experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with computer proficiency.
- Successful history of securing 6, 7, and 8 figure gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Strong knowledge of major gifts, with sales management and campaign experience being desirable.
- Ability to cultivate relationships and work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
- Financial acumen and ability to drive lead generation for major giving opportunities.
- Capacity to represent the organization effectively and adapt to a complex organizational structure.
- Experience with planned giving software preferred.
- Some travel may be required.

**Compensation:

Starting salary ranges from $102,100 to $127,700 per year, with final compensation determined based on relevant experience and skills.
