Key Responsibilities
The Adult Services Department of SMHC is looking for an energetic, dedicated, experienced individual to join our integrated co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders treatment team. This position works throughout our catchment area in eastern Rockingham County, and is affiliated with one or both offices in Portsmouth and/or Exeter, NH. This position requires coordinating services and providing direct support, advocacy, and assertive outreach to adults with co-occurring substance use and mental illness. The ideal applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or the equivalent and preferably have one year of experience working in the field. Training related to substance use disorders is preferable, but not required.
