Job description
Direct Counsel is working with a prominent global law firm who is offering a unique opportunity in their Debt Finance practice. We are looking for talented associates with 3 to 5 years of debt-finance experience at a comparable law firm to join this firm in their collaborative and dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Representing borrowers and/or lenders in secured transactions.
- Applying knowledge of syndicated financing transactions, financing for venture-backed companies, structured finance, acquisition financing, and convertible or high-yield bond offerings.
- Closing transactions and drafting documents in connection with financial transactions.
- Knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, secured transactions, debt securities offerings, and general corporate law.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of finance experience at a comparable law firm.
- JD or equivalent.
- High academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in secured transactions representing borrowers and/or lenders.
- Working knowledge of syndicated financing transactions, financing for venture-backed companies, structured finance, acquisition financing transactions, and/or convertible or high-yield bond offerings.
- Familiarity with Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, debt securities offerings, and general corporate law.
Compensation:
The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000 - $365,000. The final offer amount will depend on geographic location, applicable experience, and the candidate's skillset.
