Job description
Summary
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment/completion, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
Essential Job Duties
- Coordinates internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Builds and develops project teams to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Analyzes project status and, when necessary, revises the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
- Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
- Reviews RFP/Contract documents to ensure compliance prior to and after bid award.
- Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
- Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
- Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
- Provides periodic updates as to the status of each project.
- Monitors State/Federal government rules to ensure compliance, advising appropriate parties of changes and tracking to ensure compliance, where applicable.
- Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
- Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications - Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
- This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Project Management or a related field.
- Minimum of (2) years' experience in Project Management.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position.
- Skilled in negotiation and problem-solving.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with strengths in Excel and Projects. Other CPM Tool proficiency will be considered.
- Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
- Proven success working with all levels of management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills.
Work Environment - Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
- General office conditions. Exposed to moderate noise levels.
- Some travel is expected and is estimated to be less than 20%.
