Location : Minneapolis/St. Paul area (Eligibility:  Only local MN residents are eligible to apply)

Compensation : $38-$42/hour dependent on applicable experience

Addison Group has a client located in Minneapolis/St. Paul area and has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals having 6+ years as a Senior Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidates will have experience processing multi-state payroll, union and non-union payroll, payroll GL/JE/Reconciliations on a bi-weekly basis. This position pays $38-$42/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll.
• Manage employee maintenance entries, wage calculations, and deductions.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and verification requests.
• Process special pay items such as bonuses and end-of-employment computations.
• Supervise and train payroll specialists and other assigned staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including tax and labor laws.
• Prepare and review payroll records and reports within established timelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ADP Workforce Now, UKG, Ceridian, or other large ERP systems for payroll
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
• 4-6 years of progressive payroll experience
