Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL! This highly visible role uses analytical skills and advanced Excel modeling to provide key business metrics for all business lines of the company.
This role requires a highly motivated individual who uses their experience and education to contribute to building and maintaining the business metrics of an energetic, professional services company by leveraging technology to transform data into impactful reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst develops dashboards and reports for trending and analysis of specific business objects & processes. The incumbent must be able to work in a team environment and possess a strong independent work ethic, have excellent computer and presentation skills, be a critical thinker, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts, etc.) considering the company's goals and financial standing.
- Drive critical and complex analysis and reporting of financial and operational variances to both plan and forecast.
- Collaborate with Controller with annual budget creation and monthly P&L forecasts.
- Directly manage various monthly product line and consolidated revenue forecasting models.
- Directly manage monitoring, reporting, and analyzing of monthly Financial Executive Report and monthly departmental expenses to budget.
- Develop and manage customer profitability financial models.
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Quickly respond to ad hoc queries from internal customers (senior/executive management).
- Supports the Senior Accountant with month end close as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- 3+ years progressive work experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
- Highly proficient in Excel modeling, MS office, and financial software applications.
- Experience with Workday, Salesforce, Power BI is a plus.
