Think BIG about your career! Are you interested in becoming a Caterpillar Service Technician with a specialization in Heavy Equipment or Electric Power Generation? Thompson Tractor offers scholarships for the Caterpillar ThinkBIG program which is a two-year college education program. Thompson Tractor and other dealers in the Southeast are partners with South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) to teach you how to service Caterpillar equipment using cutting-edge diagnostics, advanced technologies, and high-tech tools. The major emphasis of the ThinkBIG program is on heavy equipment engines or power generator repair theory and practical application. ThinkBIG students rotate every 8-weeks between SGTC and the Thompson Tractor dealership for classroom instructions and hands-on training experience. After 2-years of the 8-week rotational internship you will have an Associate’s Degree in Dealer Service Technology with a specialization in Heavy Equipment or Electric Power Generation.
