Position: DIRECTOR OF STUDENT ACCOUNTS

Department: OFFICE OF THE CONTROLLER

Reports to: Controller

FSLA: Salary Exempt

Under the direction of the Controller, the position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Colleges student account receivables and collection efforts via implementing policies and procedures related to billing activities including tuition and fees while promoting and supporting a highly collaborative and engaged service-oriented culture.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related fields. Experience managing a similar department at a college or university; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the necessary knowledge skills and abilities.


LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to prepare correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to perform basic mathematic functions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and the job related software, a keyboard, calculator, telephone, FAX, photocopier, shredder, etc.
