Requirements for consideration: Perfusionist 2 - Bachelor's Degree in a medical/science field or Perfusion technology and completion of a perfusionist certificate
- Three years of relevant clinical experience or documented competency in required clinical skills and administration contribution.
- Training in complex aortic procedures including thoracoabdominal, complete arch repairs with circulatory arrest and cerebral perfusion.
- Training in VAD device assembly, operation, troubleshooting and transport.
- Or documented competency in required clinical skills and administration contributions.
- Certified Clinical Perfusionist required upon start.
- Basic Life Support from AHA required upon start.
Perfusionist 3 - Bachelor's Degree in a medical/science field or Perfusion technology.
- Completion of a perfusionist certificate
- Five years of relevant clinical experience or documented competency in required clinical skills and administration contribution.
- Training in pediatric cardiopulmonary bypass and pediatric ECMO.
- Certified Clinical Perfusionist required upon start.
- Basic Life Support from AHA required upon start.
Job Responsibilities including but not limited to: - You will operate extracorporeal equipment for surgical procedures.
- To help achieve our mission, you will provide cardiopulmonary bypass set-up, disassembly and maintenance for various surgical procedures (e.g. CABG, valve repair/replacements, VAD insertions, heart and lung transplants, non-complex aortic procedures and minimally invasive procedures).
- Collaborating with internal teams for maintenance on Perfusion equipment while adhering to safety guidelines is of vital importance.
- Participating in routine responsibilities related to the daily operations of the Perfusion department while maintaining professional requirements is expected.
- Other duties as assigned.
