TITLE: Director Medical Surgical Unit(Nursing)

Location: Conroe, TX

What you'll be doing:
• Under supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nursing Director plans, implements, directs and evaluates the nursing care for assigned units.
• Coordinates the delivery of patient services; creates and maintains an environment conducive to learning.
• Provides for the development and evaluation of staff.
• Serves as a patient advocate within the health care system.
• Accountable on a twenty-four (24) hour basis for the management of all facets of nursing activities for assigned unit(s).
• Assures that nursing care meets legal, ethical, institutional, and professional standards.
• Participates in the Hospital's Quality Improvement and Service Excellence programs.
• Interprets and facilitates the application and implementation of the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the department and organization.

What you can expect is:
• Position is located an hour from Houston.
• Will work with a great group that is growing. Will supervise around 40 FTE's.
• Facility is about 120 beds, accredited, not-for-profit acute care community hospital along with the Rural Health Clinic.

Requirements

What they're looking for:
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing Required.
• Really want someone with Director experience but would consider someone with two years of Nurse Manager experience.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas, or immediately eligible.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 60 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support & Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications within 90 days of employment.


Benefits

Hours and compensation potential:
• The position is full time day shift.
• Range is $110-$130k depending on experience.
• A full benefits package including CME allowance as well as a 20K sign-on bonus.
