Full Time and Part Time night shift RN positions located in the Ortho/Spine Unit at St. George Regional Hospital in St. George, Utah.

Unit Specifics:
The Medical Ortho Unit is a 32-bed unit located in the West Tower on the 4th floor of St. George Regional Hospital
We care for a variety of patients including total joints (hips, knees & shoulders), hip fractures, orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery overflow & a variety of medical overflow.
Most of our patients come from the Operating room or the Emergency Room
Shift Times: 6:00-6:30 AM & PM
Patient Ratios: Day shift RN 5:1 & NOC Shift RN 6:1, Day Shift PCT 7-8:1 & NOC Shift: 8-9:1
We have a beautiful unit with a large Physical Therapy Gym and a Dining Room that is utilized by our total joint patients

Minimum Qualifications:
Current RN License in state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must obtain their BSN within five years of their start date.

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
